Later this fall, in Flagstaff, Ariz., the Navajo Gaming Enterprise is adding a Navajo Blue Travel Center to the Twin Arrows Navajo Resort and Casino. With an appeal to truckers rolling along Interstate 40, this 24/7 travel center will have premium showers, restrooms and laundry services. With the previous expansion of a truckers’ lounge the casino now gets between 100 to 150 truckers nightly and are hoping those numbers climb with the addition of the travel center.
Along with its amenities, the travel center will also be immersed in Navajo culture. Here, travelers will be able to take in the scenic wonders of the reservation, enjoy fire pit roasted meats, and purchase arts and crafts.
