Data Shows Most Trucking Accidents Happen a Lower Speeds

New data shared by Lytx, a fleet telematics provider, shows that the majority of collisions or near-collisions happen at lower speeds. 20% of recorded collisions occurred when the truck was going below 5 mph. On average, more collisions happen when driving below 5 mph when compared to speeds between 6 and 80 mph.

According to the figures from the National Safety Council, and this new data, more than 50,000 collisions happen each year in garage structures and parking lots. The slower you go, the more aware you need to be.
