PennDOT and Banning Trucks During Winter Storms

Winter weather driving is not fun and can be quite dangerous for everyone, especially if you driving a large truck. When the roads get really bad, it’s smarter to just stay off of them. In 2018, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation took it one step further and starting banning commercial vehicles during winter storms. These bans were put into place because of the amount of time and manpower it takes to remove a jackknifed or crashed truck from the road. With the ban, the state saw fewer commercial vehicle crashes and found they had more time to keep the roads clear. Click the link below to learn more about this.
