Indiana Roads Might see Heavier Loads in the Future

Indiana lawmakers are considering allowing heavy loads on its highways. Currently, trucking companies are struggling to keep up with loads along with a shortage of drivers. If more weight is allowed, that means more freight gets to where it’s needed faster. The proposal is for permits of up to 120,000-pound trucks instead of the 80,000-pound cap.

With more weight also comes concern about accidents being larger and more deadly along with the damage done to roads. Click the link below to learn more about this.
