These States Have the Worst Weather for Truckers

With winter weather approaching, slippy roads are coming right along with it. Now, icy roads are not the only type of bad road, wet roads and windy conditions can also be quite treacherous. Based on information put out by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the five states with the worst weather roads for truckers are North Dakota, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

North Dakota has some cold and icy roads and if you combine the flat plains and high winds you get some scary driving conditions. Colorado also gets icy roads and the steep mountain passes make for some stressful driving. Wyoming and Nebraska are known for their high winds and big rigs being blown over. Remember, check the weather where you are headed and make sure you know what’s coming and stay safe.
