To go along with the rest of Arizona’s open rest stops, the Arizona Department of Transportation has decided to reopen two rest stops exclusively for commercial vehicles. The Parks Rest Area along Interstate 40 west of Flagstaff (milepost 182) and the Christensen Rest Area on Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff (milepost 324) now offers parking, portable toilets, and handwashing stations. They are working to stripe the parking lot and will have staff on hand a few hours a day.
