$77 Million in Grants Awarded for Truck Safety

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has awarded $77.3 million for truck safety. The money will go to states and educational institutions to further improve commercial vehicle safety and will be split up to improve different areas. $43.3 million will enhance commercial vehicle safety effort in the states, $32 million will improve the CDL program, and $2 million will go to helping veterans receive the necessary education to drive commercial vehicles.     I have a problem with 2 million to vets and 32 million to what to the CDL program, were dose the fee for CDL go. How about more money to train drivers and less to a program that will put the money into the general fund
