Just west of Garden City, Utah on U.S. 89 there has been an increase of runaway truck crashes coming out of Logan Canyon. This new catch-net cable system is the first of its kind in Utah and gives truckers a safe place to stop their truck if it gets out of control going downhill. There is a concrete chute that guides the truck into the right position and the cables wrap around the truck, helping it safely slow down and come to a stop.
