Maryland’s Highways are in Rough Shape

The Road Information Project has put out a report stating that Maryland’s Interstate Highway System is one of the worst in the nation. The congestion, volume of travelers, and pavement deterioration are rated among the highest/worst out there. Between 2000 and 2018, Maryland’s interstate usage has increased far quicker than new lanes being added to adjust for it. Because of this, these interstates are the second busiest and most congested in the country.

TRIP has stated that upgrading and fixing these issues will involve some strong federal backing and could improve the quality of life for those living in Maryland and make traveling there a better experience. Click the link below to learn more about this.
