The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is requesting public comments regarding property brokers being more transparent with their transactions. The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association and the Small Business in Transportation Coalition are asking the FMCSA to require brokers, within 48 hours of service, to provide an electronic copy of each transaction. They are also asking for a more universal, regulatory language to be used in brokers’ contracts to avoid miscommunication.
