Enrollment is up at Truck Driving Schools During Pandemic

The Advanced Career Institute in California has 150 students waiting to take their truck driving exams and has noticed an influx of new drivers during this pandemic. They are trying to pump them out as quickly as possible but will all the regulations in place only four per campus are allowed to take the test each week. The DMV’s response to social distancing and keeping everyone healthy is making it difficult to get these truckers out on the road to fill the gaps. ACI is looking into third-party testing to help with the backlog of drivers that are waiting to get on the road.
