Wildfires in Alaska Making it Difficult for Trucks to Get Through

Grocery stores in South central Alaska, from Soldotna to Fairbanks, are not getting restocked because the current wildfires are crippling the busiest trucking corridors. Some roads are closed and some are passable but with major wait times, even up to 12 hours. Besides hindering the trucking industry, the fires have also not been good for the tourism companies who are very busy this time of year. So, if you are headed that way, please be safe and you may have to find alternate routes to your destinations.
