FMCSA Issues Emergency Declaration for Areas Impacted by Hurricane Laura

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued an emergency declaration to help the areas in Alabama, Lousiana, Mississippi, and Texas impacted by Hurricanes Laura and Marco. This is an immediate response to the anticipated effects on people and property due to heavy rain, high winds, and flooding. Trucks providing direct assistance to these areas hauling supplies, food, water, equipment, and fuel will be granted relief from Parts 390 through 399 of Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations.
