USDOT Issues Emergency Declaration for Commercial Vehicles

The United States Department of Transportation has issued an Emergency Declaration for commercial vehicles who are directly involved with Covid-19. Hours of service have changed so emergency supplies can get to where they are needed most in a timely fashion. Those providing direct assistance to emergency relief in relation to Covid-19 include hauling related medical supplies, supplies and equipment pertaining to safety and the prevention of spreading the disease, food, and anything else directly related to the health and safety of the country. Once a driver has made their delivery they must take 10 hours of off duty time if hauling property and 8 hours if hauling passengers. Click the link below to learn more about this declaration.
