Texas Governor Changes Trucking Regulations to Help Deliver Resources

To go along with the USDOT’s change in Hours of Service, Governor Abbott of Texas has waived some of its trucking regulations to help get relief supplies quicker to those in need. The regulations suspended include oversize and overweight permits, the International Registration Plan, and the 72-hour and the 144-hour temporary registration permits. With these changes, Governor Abbott is hoping to get medical supplies and groceries to those who need them the most in a quick and timely fashion while still keeping the roads safe.
