There is a new bill in Congress that would add more truck parking spaces all over the country. The Truck Parking Safety Improvement Act would give truckers more safe places to park and rest. This Act was introduced by Illinois State Rep. Mike Bost and Minnesota State Rep. Angie Craig. It will make $755 million available to spend on projects that increase the number of safe parking spots for commercial vehicles and hopefully get them off the shoulders of highways or any other unsafe location.
