Oregon May be Next in Line for Cap-and-Trade Bill

After California passed it, Oregon truckers are plotting a strategy as the cap-and-trade bill may come into fruition. This bill puts a cap on how much greenhouse gas is emitted into the atmosphere for a given region. Over time, these caps are tightened, leading to smaller amounts of emissions being released, all while leading to new ideas in the trucking industry that require less emissions and pollution.

The Senate is expected to vote on this bill any day now, yet the trucking industry is attempting to derail it. This bill will raise fuel prices and ultimately raise the cost of running their trucks.
