Iowa College Receives Grant to put More Truckers on the Road

The American Trucking Associations has reported a driver shortage in our country and there is a college in Iowa that is doing its part to get drivers out there on the road. Eastern Iowa Community College in Davenport has received $100,000 from the Future Iowa’s Coronavirus Relief Employer Innovation Fund which will pay the tuition for 88 students. Old drivers are retiring and getting new drivers to sign up can be tricky but this should be a good incentive to get them in the door.
