AAA Study Says Driver Assist Technology Leads to Drivers who don’t pay Attention

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has put together some research showing that drivers who use advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are more likely to be distracted than those who don’t use these systems. ADAS include lane-keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control. Drivers become too dependent on these systems and no longer pay attention to the vehicles around them. The study showed that those using ADAS were more likely to text or fiddle with the radio. AAA asks that you always remain active and engaged while driving for your safety and the safety of others around you. Click the link below to read more about this study.
