Shutting Off Trucks Leads to Cleaner Air

By giving drivers an electric approach to staying comfortable in their trucks instead of idling, Schnieder is saving money and helping do their part against emissions. Schnieder is participating in Salt River Project’s Truck Stop and Fleet Electrification rebate program which includes 20 Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) parking spots at its Phoenix facility. These spots have a device that fits into the cab window and provides air conditioning, heat, television, and Wi-Fi. Electricity is cheaper than diesel and it lowers emissions and helps keeps the air clean. While SRP provided the rebate, Schnieder partnered with IdleAir to implement this.
