Wyoming to Close 10 Rest Areas due to Budget Crisis

The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be closing 10 rest areas around the state in order to reduce the agency’s costs. The closures will go into effect June 15 and the communities involved have been notified. Each one that is closing is within a reasonable distance of another facility open to the public. The rest areas closing include Lusk on US 18; Guernsey on US 26; Greybull on US 14-16-20; Moorcroft on Interstate 90; Star Valley on US 89; Ft. Steele on Interstate 80; Sundance on Interstate 90; Upton on US 16; and Orin Junction and Chugwater, both located on Interstate 25. Click the link below to learn more about this.
