A study done by the ICF for the California Electric Transportation Coalition and the Natural Resources Defense Council shows that electric trucks are the way to go in this industry for three reasons. The first is that they will be more cost-efficient in the future. As the cost of battery packs and other components drop over the years, along with the price of electricity over fuel, by 2030 the cost of an electric truck is very attractive. Next, they are the cleanest when talking about climate change. These zero-emission vehicles are how we do our part for the future. Last, this type of technology is where the future of the industry is headed which leads to more jobs and economic growth.
