More American Bridges Truckers Just Don’t Like

Here’s another set of bridges around America that Truckers would rather avoid than drive over.

The Burlington-Bristol Bridge connects New Jersey and Pennsylvania over the Delaware River. This bridge opened in 1931, has two lanes, is 2,301 feet long, and has a lift span of 540 feet. For truckers, the lanes are very tight and they have complained of losing a mirror or two.

The Williamsburg Bridge is another of the least favorite bridges in this country for truckers. Located in New York City, this bridge crosses the East River and connects Manhattan with Interstate 278. This bridge has been around since 1903 and has gone through a couple of rebuilds and many repairs. Since 2017, there have been traffic restrictions and truckers with heavy loads do not look forward to crossing it.
