New York Governor Wants Trucks to Stop Hitting low Bridges

New York’s Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced a plan to further prevent trucks from hitting low bridges throughout the state. There will be a collaboration between the New York State Police, the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, and the New York Department of Transportation. In an average year, 220 of New York’s bridges get hit by trucks because of low clearance. The educational collaboration will take place Monday, November 9, and run through Sunday, November 15.
