Truckers are Asking Those who Share the Road to use Common Sense and be Safe

Since truckers sit up higher and can look out over those in vehicles below, they see quite a bit and what they see is not good. Truckers have seen drivers putting on makeup, eating cereal, changing clothes, amongst other terrible things that take driver’s eyes off the road. Along with those who don’t pay attention, truckers are being cut off or followed too closely or treated with some serious road rage. These distracted drivers and road ragers are estimated to be over 70% at fault in accidents involving cars and trucks.

Trucks with heavy loads take longer to slow down and slamming on the brakes doesn’t mean the truck will come to a sudden stop. Truckers are asking those out on the road to slow down, pay attention, and use common sense when it comes to safe driving.
