Kansas is Raising Bridges on Big Truck Route

The Kansas Turnpike Authority is making room for large freight vehicles by raising the bridges that pass over the turnpike. The 236-mile turnpike includes parts of interstates 335, 35, 70, and 470 linking together Witchita, Topeka, and Kansas City. Raising the bridges to a height of 15 feet, 9 inches will allow big trucks to easily move along the turnpike and not have to seek other routes. During the raising of each bridge, traffic across the bridge will be halted but traffic on the turnpike will not be interrupted. Click the link below to read more about this.
