When helping a trucker know that it’s okay to move into the right lane, don’t flash them with your brights at night. This action temporarily blinds them, making for unsafe driving conditions. Sure, during the day you can use your brights, but at night those brights are magnified by the multiple mirrors they are looking into. Truckers appreciate the gesture but recommend you turn your lights off and then on again to get the point across. Or try dimming them momentarily to get the same effect.
