During WIT’s Accelerate! Conference & Expo in Dallas, Texas, Ruth Lopez was given the Influential Woman in Trucking award. The ninth annual award is presented by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT) and Freightliner trucks. This award is given to women in the trucking industry who are involved in key decision making, have a record of responsibility, and are looked upon as a role model for other women in the industry.
Lopez has been with Ryder for 20 years and is currently the director of transportation management and leads teams in the U.S. and Mexico. She has also served as co-chair for Ryder’s Women’s Leadership Forum, named a Supply Chain Excellence Award recipient, and has received a Ryder Outstanding Award Recognition (ROAR) award.
