Arkansas is Fixing Highways with Higher Taxes.

Starting today, gas and diesel taxes are going up in Arkansas. Gas tax is going up 3 cents and diesel tax is going up 6 cents. This is the first time fuel tax has been raised in two decades, but the good news is that this extra tax will be put towards fixing the highways. These new taxes are expected to bring in $95 million a year. Taxes are not fun, but rough roads need to be fixed and maintained.
