Acuity Insurance sponsored an essay contest for high school students in the United States to commemorate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. The winner, Sara Mears from Appleton, Wisconsin, won $2,500 for her essay about her great uncle Roland “Rollie” Koenig. Koenig drives a blue Korth truck and transports dairy products.
The essays submitted show the knowledge each student had about the issues in the trucking industry as well as thanking them for the work they do. Second, third and three honorable mentions were also awarded with money.
