Hauling a Carnival and Staying Safe on the Road

Hauling 35 carnival rides on 42 trailers and box trucks around the country is no easy task. Out of Mesa, Arizona, Danny Brown is the owner of Brown’s Amusements and makes sure his carnival caravan runs smoothly and safely while on the road. With 24 CDL driver’s on his staff, he has to haul his carnival in two loads all the while adhering to the laws and regulations of the road.

With the new flexibility in hours of service expected to come into the trucking industry, Brown is hoping it will help with his drivers and other truckers in finding available parking spaces instead of having to pull over on ramps because their time ran out. Another factor that is affecting the traveling carnival is the price of diesel, which tend to increase during the summer months. Brown is hoping to eliminate the negative perceptions of how people see a traveling carnival and show people that they run a safe business and show.
