Founded in 2013, the KLLM Driving Academy offers state-of-the-art training for future truck drivers with locations in Mississippi, Illinois, and Texas. At the academy, students will learn about the equipment they will be hauling through hands-on experience.
Classroom Instruction: Includes sessions in the Tractor Simulator Lab, Refrigerated Trailer Lab, and Computer Lab.
Driving Training: Training on the academy’s truck driving range and on the road.
Internship Program: Graduates from the academy receive their CDL-A and are sent over the road for 6 weeks with a certified trainer from KLLM while earning up to $514 a week.
After the Internship Program, KLLM will put their new drivers straight to work. A guaranteed job isn’t the only benefit from the academy. They also offer a scholarship to cover all costs for tuition once a trainee has agreed to drive for KLLM for one year.
The KLLM Driving Academy also offers Truck Driver Refresher Courses to CDL-A drivers that haven’t been on the road for a while. “Refresher students” will go through Driving Training for 6 days and are then offered the same Internship Program as the recent graduates.
