New Legislation Could Allow Road Trains on North Dakota Highways

A bill has been put forth that would allow extra-long semis on North Dakota roads. Road trains are tractors pulling multiple trailers and exceeding federal length and weight limits. There are some out there who claim that doing so would increase traffic accidents and cause more damage to bridges and roads. Others in North Dakota claim that road trains are a necessity because of the lack of available drivers and the increase in freight. The bill has not gone through all of the proper channels/steps yet.
