The USDOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has announced the extending and expansion of the hours-of-service regulations for those helping with COVID-19 relief. This declaration is for commercial vehicles providing direct assistance and runs through February 28, 2021, and is for:
- Vaccines, medical supplies, and equipment related to the prevention of COVID-19.
- Medical supplies and equipment for the testing, diagnosing, and treatment of COVID-19.
- Supplies and equipment for community healthy safety, including masks, soaps, hand sanitizer, etc.
- Livestock and livestock feed.
- Food, paper products, and groceries for emergency restock at stores.
