Certain Pre-Employment Tests Temporarily Waived for Returning Truckers

Furloughed drivers are climbing back into the driver’s seat of their big rigs and FMCSA has given them a temporary waiver for certain parts of the pre-employment test. The current regulations state that drivers must go through pre-employment drug testing before getting out there on the road. If the drivers have had their controlled substance testing done within the previous 30 days they don’t need to do it again. This new waiver changes the 30 days to 90. Trucking companies need to get their drivers back out on the road as soon as they can and this waiver will help with that goal. Click the link below to learn more about this.
