Portland, Oregon has the highest local gas rate in the state, and the currently used gas tax will remain in place. In 2016, a measure was put into place adding a 10 cent gas tax to fuel purchases, and a vote was done recently that renewed the measure. 77.19% of the voters voted to keep the 10 cent fuel tax and continue collecting funds for road maintenance and safety features.
