FMCSA Allowing Some Third Parties to be CDL Testers

In response to a potential lack of commercial vehicle drivers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued a waiver granting some non-governmental third parties to conduct the CDL knowledge test. With DMVs being shut down due the virus and a prevalent need for truck drivers the FMCSA saw to it that people looking to get their CDL still have a chance. This waiver will stay in effect until June 30 or until the president ends the national emergency declaration. Truck drivers are keeping our shelves stocked and our essential and medical supplies available so keeping a steady stream of new drivers available is essential at this time.
