CVTA Concerned About Lack of New Truckers with DMVs and Schools Closed

With state driver licensing agencies closed or running on a limited basis around the country, the Commercial Vehicle Training Association is concerned about a lack of new drivers to help with the nations’s response and recovery to COVID-19. In order to get the attention of the people in Washington, the CVTA has put together a group of businesses, associations, and driving schools who have sent letters to state governors and congress explaining their concerns of how a lack of new drivers will affect the current and coming supply chain within our country. Truck drivers are critical right now as they are the ones delivering the foods, necessary essentials, and medical supplies that we all need to make it through this pandemic. This coalition is asking for CDL training schools and driver license agencies to be seen as essential services in keeping the supply chain going. Click the link below to learn more about this.
