FHWA is Allowing Food Trucks at Rest Stops for Commercial Truckers

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration has issued a notice to the States Department of Transporation permitting the placement of commercial food trucks at federally funded Interstate Highway rest stops. Normally, commercial activity in federally funded right-of-way areas is prohibited, but the FHWA administrator saw a need for food options out there for truckers. The focus is to make sure the truckers who are hauling our goods and essentials during this health crisis can find something to eat when there isn’t much available for them at rest stops these days.
