Indiana is Going Hands-Free to Combat Distracted Driving

A final proposal went through the state legislators banning motorists from using handheld devices. The Senate voted 49-1 and the House voted 81-11. Cell phones can still be used with hands-free and voice-operated options with an exception in emergencies. The new law goes into effect July of this year but no points against your license will be issued until July of 2021. Put your phones down while driving in Indiana, it’s the law.
