OOIDA Taking a Stand for Trucking Industry

Joining forces with 30 other groups, the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is taking a stand against expensive mandates on the trucking industry. The bills they are opposing include speed limiters, underride guards, automatic braking systems, and near $5 million in liability insurance. As diverse as the working conditions are in this industry these mandates would be very costly and burdensome. Together, this coalition has stated that these mandates could lead to a less safe working environment and raise costs astronomically.
