This Trucker is Sharing her Skin Cancer Journey to Help Others

Ingrid Brown, out of Zionville, North Carolina, has been a trucker for 40 years and 4 million miles. Diagnosed in 2017 with melanoma, Brown has been sharing her skin cancer journey to make others aware of the dangers of what the sun can do to those out on the road. No matter the surgery or recovery time, Brown always went back out where she belonged, on the road behind the wheel of her big rig. Sharing her journey on Facebook has led others to come forward and share their stories, further encouraging truckers (and everyone else) to get checked out. Brown is not a quitter, she is an advocate for the trucking industry and will use this platform to continue sharing her story. She will be speaking about this at the Mid-America Trucking Showing in Louisville, Kentucky. Read more about Brown’s journey by clicking the link below.
