A new grant given to the Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois, will allow 20 veterans, active service members, and/or spouses free training to get their commercial truck driving licenses. The six-week program normally costs around five thousand dollars. The trucking industry is currently lacking in drivers and this grant will help fill that gap.
