A first-grade class at Kipp Seek Academy in Newark, New Jersey won $1,000 worth of school supplies for their classroom. Jihad Simmons, a driver for J.B. Hunt, entered into the company’s “Adopt-a-Class” contest and won. Simmons had to write an essay explaining why his daughter’s class deserved to win the prize. Winners are selected by J.B. Hunt’s corporate office, the teachers are asked what they need and then the supplies are delivered by truck. Simmons got to deliver the supplies in person and let the kids sit in the truck and pull the horn. Click the link below to find out more about this program.
