FMCSA Awards Almost $80 Million in Grants to Improve CMV Safety

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has awarded almost $80 million in grants for states and schools to help enhance commercial motor vehicle safety.

$45 million are high priority grants and are going towards enhancing states CMV safety and to advance their technologies. $32.7 million will be put toward improving the Commercial Driver’s License Program in the states. $2 million will be granted to schools to help veterans train for jobs in the commercial transportation industry.
