New Truck Staging Area in the Works for Texas Port of Beaumont

With increasing cargo volume and truck traffic comes a need for more room, and the Port of Beaumont in Beaumont, Texas is getting some much-needed space for trucks. As part of its Port Access Program, the Texas Department of Transportation has given the Port a $1.57 million grant to build a new truck-queuing area. This new space will allow trucks to easily move in and out without blocking the street, improve response time, and make the whole process quicker.
