Public safety agencies and law enforcement have announced the transportation plan for the 2020 Democratic Nation Convention to be held in Milwaukee, WI on August 17-20, 2020. Together with local, state, and federal law enforcement, an outline has been put out closing roads, restricting flights, and putting in restricted zones for the convention.
Starting on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 15, and ending midday Friday, Aug. 21, the following list of commercial vehicle types will be prohibited from traveling on roads around the convention area.
- Delivery trucks
- Utility vehicles
- Parcel trucks
- Small dump trucks
- Buses
- Flatbed and stake trucks
- Refrigerated and box trucks
- Large delivery trucks
- Refuse trucks
- Cement mixers
- Buses
- All tractor and trailer combinations including double trailers
- Motor homes
- Recreational trailers operated for personal use
