New Bill in Ohio Would Help with Driver Shortage

The Ohio House has voted to amend a bill to give assistance to carriers who are looking to bring on more drivers. Bill HB222 would give eligible carriers a tax credit to help cover the costs of training the new drivers. There would be an annual cap of $3 million on the credit, with no one carrier getting more than $25,000. The bill currently awaits assignment to the committee in the Senate.
